A través del presente trabajo tiendo a efectuar un aporte al estudio de la seguridad social y del derecho de la seguridad social desde un aspecto conceptual. Para ello, recupero las opiniones de importantes autores en el campo científico referenciado y realizo algunos aportes personales direccionados a ampliar el análisis ontológico de aquellos ámbitos que, aunque ubicándose en el mismo terreno, imponen efectuar algunas aclaraciones identitarias entre sí, así como también explicar la incidencia de otras figuras o institutos puntuales específicos. La metodología seleccionada se basa, por ende, en una revisión bibliográfica, y en algún breve apunte de normativa vigente. Luego del desarrollo, concluyo respecto a la crucial importancia que tiene la seguridad social y su normación jurídica actual, el papel protagónico de la política en dicho terreno, y en la necesidad de concebir y estudiar aquella disciplina desde una posición ampliada.
Through this paper I tend to make a contribution to the study of social security and social security law, from a conceptual aspect. For this, I recover the opinions of important authors in the referenced scientific field, and I make some personal contributions aimed at broadening the ontological analysis of those fields that, although located in the same field, impose some identity clarifications among themselves, as well as explain the incidence of other figures or specific punctual institutes. The selected methodology is based, therefore, on a bibliographic review and on a brief note of current regulations. After the development, I conclude regarding the crucial importance of social security and its current legal regulations, the leading role of politics in this field, and the need to conceive and study that discipline from an expanded position.
