Este artículo presenta la reflexión de Monseñor Kaufmann sobre el rol de la autoridad en la vida cristiana, poniendo de relieve su origen divino. El autor subraya que los cargos de autoridad deben ser entendidos como oportunidades para servir a Cristo y a Él en los hermanos, centrando su análisis en el don del munus regendi. Asimismo, ofrece orientaciones prácticas para ejercer la autoridad según el mensaje del Evangelio. Consideramos que este aporte será de particular interés tanto para pastores como para laicos, alentando a profundizar en el llamado de Jesús, quien no vino a ser servido, sino a servir (cf. Mt 20, 28).
This article presents Monsignor Kaufmann’s reflection on the role of authority in Christian life, emphasizing its divine origin. The author underscores that positions of authority should be understood as opportunities to serve Christ and Him in our brothers and sisters, focusing his analysis on the gift of the munus regendi. He also offers practical guidance for exercising authority in accordance with the Gospel. This contribution will be of particular interest to both pastors and laypeople, encouraging a deeper engagement with the call of Jesus, "who came not to be served but to serve” (cf. Mt 20:28).
