Meister Eckhart en la historiografía filosófica moderna

Al estudiar la relación entre Eriúgena y el idealismo alemán resulta útil detenerse en la historiografía filosófica que circulaba en tierras germanas en el siglo XIX ya que los grandes filósofos idealistas como Hegel y Schelling no tuvieron acceso directo a la obra principal del irlandés, Periphyseon, sino a través de esos trabajos, que ofrecían en general el conocimiento que manejaba la época sobre la Edad Media. Análogamente, los estudios que vinculan el pensamiento de Meister Eckhart y los idealistas Fichte y Hegel, afirman que no se encuentran casi citas de la obra del maestro en estos autores y que su pensamiento les llegó de forma mediada. Franz Von Baader y Hans I. Martensen serán quienes inicien una revalorización del pensamiento de Eckhart y lo relacionen con el idealismo. Sin embargo, propongo en este trabajo rastrear lo que la historiografía filosófica alemana de los siglos XVIII y principios del XIX han expuesto sobre el pensamiento del filósofo alemán, considerando que esos historiadores de la filosofía podrían haber tenido acceso a su obra y que dichas piezas historiográficas fueron muy consultadas por los idealistas del XIX.
In order to study the relationship between Eriugena and German Idealism, it can be useful to stop in the philosophical historiography that circulated in Germany in the Nineteenth Century, because idealist philosophers, such as Hegel and Schelling, did not have direct access to the Irishman’s most important work, Periphyseon. Instead, they used those historiographical pieces that contained all general knowledge about the Middle Ages available at the time. In the same way, the studies that connect Meister Eckhart’s thought with those of the idealists such as Hegel and Fichte, maintain that there are almost no quotations of the Eckhartian work in their books and that they received that philosophy by mediation. Franz Von Baader and Hans I. Martensen started a revalorisation of Eckhart’s thought and initiated this relationship with Idealism. Nevertheless, I propose in this paper to look at that German philosophical historiography of the Eighteenth and early Nineteenth Century in order to find out what they have stated about this medieval author, as considering they could have had access to his work, and that the nineteenth century Idealists frequently consulted them.
