El artículo propone un recorrido por las nociones de Cultura libre, la idea de lo libre y las tensiones que esta categoría supone entre la matriz liberal y los otros sentidos que el software y las licencias libres han adquirido en la Argentina. También se indaga en las maneras en las que los grupos y los colectivos que se nuclean en torno al movimiento de la Cultura libre comprenden al Estado. En las reflexiones finales, se presenta un breve panorama del escenario actual en relación con el software y la Cultura libre.
The article proposes a tour of the notions of free culture, the idea of the free and the tensions that this category supposes between the liberal matrix and the other senses that the software and the free licenses have acquired in Argentina. It is also investigated the ways in which the different groups that are nucleated around the free culture movement comprise the State. In the final reflections, it is made a brief overview of the current scenario in relation to the Free Software and Culture.
