Estudio de una teratología en los frutos de <i>Frimbristylis dichotoma</i> (L.) Vahl (Cyperaceae)

Light and scanning electron microscopy were employed to study the morphology and anatomy of normal and teratological fruits, from one herbarium specimen (Af. Yero 933, HAC ex herbarium CNIC), of Fimbristylis dichotoma (L.) Vahl (Cyperacece). Total length of both kinds of fruits was compared with the mean length reported for species, using Dunnett test; it was found that teratological fruits are significantly longer. Possible causes for this teratology are discussed.
Mediante la observación con microscopio óptico y electrónico de barrido, se estudia la morfología y anatomía tanto de frutos normales como de otros teratológicos, de Fimbristylis dichotoma (L.) Vahl (Cyperacece), hallados en un ejemplar de la colección M. Yero 933, depostiado en el herbario HAC, a su vez procedente del CNIC. Se compara la longitud de ambos tipos de frutos con otros de la especie, mediante el test de Dunnett. Se comprueba que los frutos teratológicos son significativamente mayores. Se discuten las posibles causas de la teratología.
