Surfaces of revolution in a-parallel coordinates

In this paper we present a method for visualizing surfaces of revolution in R3 using an extension of the parallel coordinate system: the a-parallel coordinate system. The representation of 0-flats and 1-flats in this new system is also given. In order to find the representation of surfaces of revolution in this new coordinate system, we define the extension of Eickemeyer’s flats to a wider class of sets, named flatsa.
