Investigación y desarrollo metodológico : Método biográfico narrativo en artes visuales

Este artículo divulga una investigación de docentes del Departamento de Artes Visuales de la Universidad Nacional de las Artes, sobre la adaptación del Método Biográfico Narrativo (MBN), aplicado al trabajo con la propia obra en artes visuales. En la 1.ª etapa, se creó una tipología de tesinas de graduación con tres categorías basadas en el papel que desempeña la obra en el relato de la experiencia, revelando nuevos significados en la obra investigada. En la 2.ª etapa, se realizó un trabajo minucioso con sus referentes, enriqueciendo el proceso hermenéutico con nuevas interpretaciones de la propia creación. En la 3.ª etapa fueron sistematizados los pasos del método mediante una práctica compartida, que permitió desarrollar capacidades interpretativas y reconocer este enfoque hermenéutico como estrategia guía, a través del Entorno de Trabajo de Investigación Colaborativa (ETIC).
This article presents research by faculty from the Department of Visual Arts at the National University of the Arts on adapting the Biographical Narrative Method (BNM) to work with one’s own visual arts creations. In the first stage, a typology of graduation theses was created with three categories based on the role the artwork plays in narrating the experience, revealing new meanings in the studied work. In the second stage, a detailed analysis was conducted with references, enriching the hermeneutic process with new interpretations of the works. In the third stage, the method’s steps were systematized through shared practice, allowing the development of interpretative skills and recognizing this hermeneutic approach as a guiding strategy through the Collaborative Research Work Environment (CRWE).
