New spectrographic observations of the Algol binary AU Monocerotis have permitted the determination of the orbital elements of the two components of the system. They have further suggested that the image tube spectrograph that was attached to the CTIO 1m-reflecting telescope in 1978 and 1979 was not quite suitable for radial velocity work.
