Francisco Leocata y la historia de la filosofía cristiana en Argentina

Resumen: El presente escrito se propone a partir del análisis de los trabajos de Francisco Leocata sobre la historia de las ideas filosóficas en la Argentina distinguir tres líneas de fuerza o bien tres modos de hacer filosofía en armonía con la fe cristiana. Dos de ellos presentes ya desde los comienzos en la época de la colonia, y entrando progresivamente en disputa; un tercero que se perfila en el marco del llamado pensamiento latinoamericano. Para ello, será necesario elucidar primeramente dos presupuestos, a saber, qué entiende el autor por filosofía cristiana y por qué es importante distinguir modernidad de ilustración. A partir de allí, seguirá una reseña histórica crítica de pensadores argentinos en mayor o menor medida afines al cristianismo que se clasificarán por su rechazo o apoyo a las ideas de la modernidad/ilustración. Finalmente, se sugiere reconocer como derivación de estas reflexiones una tercera posición en el pensamiento de Juan Carlos Scannone.
Abstract: This paper proposes, through an analysis of Francisco Leocata's works on the history of philosophical ideas in Argentina, to distinguish three lines of force or three ways of doing in philosophy in harmony with the Christian faith. Two of these have been present since the beginning of the colonial period and are progressively entering into dispute, while a third is emerging within the framework of what is known as Latin American thought. To achieve this, it will be necessary to first elucidate two presuppositions: what the author understands by Christian philosophy and why it is important to distinguish modernity from the Enlightenment. Following this, there will be a critical historical review of Argentine thinkers, more or less related to Christianity, who will be classified based on their rejection or support for the ideas of modernity/enlightenment. Finally, it is suggested to recognize, as a derivative of these reflections, a third position in the thought of Juan Carlos Scannone.
