Resumen: En este trabajo se ofrece una panoramica general acerca de la importancia que la esperanza mesianica tuvo en el judaismo hispanic° a lo largo de la Edad Media. Despues de una breve presentacion sobre los origenes remotos del mesianismo, el estudio se centra propiamente en epoca medieval, analizandose el interes que, al menos desde el siglo X, y a lo largo de toda la Edad Media, manifiestan los circulos intelectuales hispano-hebreos por el tema de la venida del Mesias. Otro extenso apartado esta dedicado a las manifestaciones mas populares del fenomeno mesianico en el judaismo hispano.
Abstract: In this work it is offered a general overview about the importance of the Messianic hope in the Hispanic Judaism along the Middle Ages. After a brief presentation about the remote origins of the Messianism, the study is really centered in that time, analyzing the interest that, at least since the Xth Century and along the Middle Ages, show the Hispanic-Hebraic intellectual groups about the coming of the Messiah. Another extensive chapter is devoted to the most popular demonstrations of the Messianic phenomenon in the Spanish Judaism.
