From the beginning of the 13th century, the discussion which surrounded the explanation of causality in the world –from the point of view of philosophical analysis– and, within that specific context, the speculation surrounding the composition of its nature (whether considered as a whole, or considered within the plurality and diversity of the beings the world sustains), was a quaestio that occupied the Masters of Paris.
