Descripción: En el presente ensayo nos proponemos abordar analíticamente la problemática de la discriminación y la estigmatización social desde la perspectiva del interaccionismo simbólico. Para esto, nos basaremos en el análisis de dos casos puntuales ocurridos en la ciudad de Salta, los cuales fueron analizados en el marco del proyecto de investigación N° 104/21: “El estigma como barrera para la inclusión social” de la Universidad Católica de Salta. Desde una metodología de abordaje cualitativa, que busca recuperar los discursos y los sentidos que las y los propios actores tienen sobre su realidad y los prejuicios que cotidianamente enfrentan, este trabajo intenta identificar los mecanismos que, apoyados en criterios ideológicos de discriminación, garantizan la reproducción de las desigualdades sociales presentes en el mercado de trabajo local. In this essay we propose to analytically address the issue of discrimination and social stigmatization from the perspective of symbolic interactionism. For this purpose, we will be based on the analysis of two specific cases that occurred in the city of Salta, which were investigated within the framework of research project No. 104/21: “Stigma as a barrier to social inclusion” of the Catholic University of Salta. From a qualitative approach methodology, which seeks to recover the discourses and meanings that the actors themselves have about their own reality and the prejudices they face on a daily, this work attempts to identify the mechanisms that, supported by ideological criteria of discrimination, guarantee the reproduction of the social inequalities present in the local labor market.
