This project proposes the design of a Comprehensive Cultural and Health Center in the city of Centenario, designed to meet the specific needs of the local community and foster social well-being through the integration of health services and cultural activities (sports and arts). This project aims not only to address the high demand for public services in this newly urbanized area but also to establish a new central hub capable of guiding the city's future growth. The center is conceived as an inclusive and flexible space that will host cultural, recreational, and primary healthcare activities for the residents. One of the key aspects of the project is its location on a topographical edge between two plateaus, where the terrain has a stepped morphology. This topography is used as a design resource, allowing the building to be integrated with the natural landscape. This integration with the landscape allows for the development of a linear park that follows the slopes of the land, fostering connection between the different levels, generating public spaces for gathering, and enhancing the integration with the natural environment. The main objective of this project is to create an urban facility that integrates two areas—health and culture—into a single space that promotes social integration, community well-being, and the strengthening of the city's infrastructure. It is also envisioned as a space open to the entire city, enhancing urban life and the development of cultural activities in the region.
El presente trabajo propone proyectar un Centro Integral de Cultura y Salud en la ciudad de Centenario, que responda a las necesidades específicas de la comunidad local, generando un bienestar social a través de la integración de servicios de salud y actividades culturales. (deportivas y artísticas). Este proyecto no busca solo responder a la fuerte demanda de servicios públicos en esta nueva área urbanizada, si no también consolidar una nueva centralidad que sea capaz de articular el crecimiento futuro de la ciudad. El centro se concibe como un espacio inclusivo y flexible que albergue actividades culturales, recreativas y de atención primaria en salud para los habitantes.Uno de los aspectos claves del proyecto es su implantación, que se ubica en un borde topográfico entre dos mesetas, donde el terreno presenta una morfología escalonada. Esta topografía se aprovecha como un recurso proyectual, permitiendo integrar el edificio con el paisaje natural. Esta integración con el paisaje permite el desarrollo de un parque lineal que acompañe las pendientes de terreno, fomentando la conexión entre los distintos niveles, generando espacios públicos de encuentro y valorizando la integración con el entorno natural. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es generar un equipamiento urbano que integre dos áreas – salud y cultura- en un único espacio donde se promueva la integración social, el bienestar comunitario y el fortalecimiento infraestructural de la ciudad. Además de plantearse como un espacio abierto a toda la ciudad que potencie la vida urbana y el desarrollo de actividades culturales de la región.
