This paper develops a comprehensive analysis on the possible creation of a World Court of Human Rights, in the current international context. It describes the objectives and the possible role of a court of such characteristics, and\nexposes my contrary opinion in connection with its establishment, on the ground that this Court would fail to overcome the shortcomings of existing systems of human rights, because, like them, it depends on the consent of States and entities to\nratify its statute and accept its jurisdiction

El presente ensayo desarrolla un análisis exhaustivo sobre la posibilidad de creación de una Corte Mundial de Derechos Humanos, en el contexto internacional actual. En él se evalúan los objetivos y el posible rol de un tribunal de tales características, y se expone mi opinión contraria con respecto a su establecimiento, en virtud de que dicha Corte no logra superar las falencias de los sistemas de derechos humanos existentes, pues, al igual que ellos, depende del consentimiento de Estados y entidades para ratificar su Estatuto y aceptar su jurisdicción
