Neoliberalismo, orden, tiempo y producción de subjetividad: El homo oeconomicus en y más allá de Foucault

Este artículo interrogará el marco de racionalidad neoliberal partiendo de los análisis filosófico-políticos desarrollados por Michel Foucault y retomando algunas de las voces de sus intérpretes contemporáneos, a fin de situar una reflexión crítica sobre los modos que guían la producción de subjetividad en nuestra actualidad. Dicho estudio focalizará especialmente la figura del homo oeconomicus en tanto en ella se imbrica estratégicamente una particular relación entre orden neoliberal, subjetividad y temporalidad(es). Buscaremos dar cuenta de los aspectos que caracterizan su definición, tanto desde las hipótesis foucaultianas como desde las lecturas que buscaron extender la sistematicidad de esta racionalidad al análisis de las transformaciones actuales del neoliberalismo, para calibrar su potencia heurística frente a la captación de los dilemas de las subjetividades actuales. Utilizaremos, a modo de obertura y coda de este escrito, el relato del mito griego conocido como El suplicio de Tántalo, atentos al carácter “ejemplar” de sus ilustraciones y a la potencia crítica que un anacronismo histórico puede producir sobre lo actual, para interrogar su vigencia y su eficacia en tanto elemento de una gramática aleccionadora, presente en algunas de las prácticas que hoy se ofrecen como garantes de la producción subjetiva.
This article will interrogate the framework of neoliberal rationality based on the philosophical-political analyses of Michel Foucault and retaking some of the voices of his contemporary interpreters, in order to situate a critical reflection on the modes that guide subjectivity production in our present day. This study will focus especially on the figure of Homo oeconomicus as it strategically imparts a particular relationship between neoliberal order, subjectivity and temporality. We will seek to give an account of the aspects that characterize its definition, both from the Foucaultians hypotheses and from the readings that sought to extend the systematic of this rationality to the analysis of current transformations of neoliberalism, to calibrate its heuristic power against the capture of the dilemmas of current subjectivities. We will use, by way of Overture and coda of this writing, the account of the Greek myth known as The torment of Tantalus, attentive to the "exemplary" character of its illustrations and to the critical power that an historical anachronism can produce to our present, to interrogate its validity and effectiveness as an element of an instructive grammar, involved in some of the practices offered today as guarantors of subjective production.
