La voluptuosidad de ser otro en el joven Deleuze

“Descripción de la mujer, para una filosofía del otro sexuada” es el primer texto publicado por Gilles Deleuze (en 1945, cuando apenas veinte años). En él, una serie de frases aberrantes respecto a la mujer que se propone describir generan un fuerte desagrado. Si bien buena parte de ellas obedecen a la descripción unilateral de aspectos que el concepto de mujer aspira justamente a unificar, esto no anula los prejuicios falócratas que el joven Deleuze manifiesta. Sin embargo, esa imagen desformada de la mujer también despierta en él una voluptuosidad que lo fuerza a pensar, a esbozar un concepto de mujer. Así, abandona el plano empírico para alcanzar el trascendental, y concibe un mundo sexuado donde el yo es absolutamente otro, y anticipa -e incluso clarifica- futuros conceptos que harán la gloria del Deleuze de madurez, como Autrui, pliegue, intensidad y multiplicidad.
“Description of Woman: For a Philosophy of the Sexed Other” is the first published text of Gilles Deleuze (in 1945, when he was only twenty years old). In this text, a series of outrageous sentences regarding the woman that he is describing fills the reader with disgust. Even if a considerable part of these sentences obey to a unilateral description of that which the concept of woman aims to unify, this does not vanish the phallocratic prejudices that the young Deleuze expresses. However, this distorted image of the women also awakens in Deleuze a voluptuousness that forces him to think, and thus to sketch a proper concept of woman. By doing so, he leaves the realm of the empirical and attains that of the transcendental, and he conceives a sexualised world where the I is absolutely other, and anticipates -and even clarifies- future concepts that will bring glory to the mature Deleuze, such as Autrui, fold, intensity and multiplicity.
