La división entre cafieristas y menemistas y los cuatro alzamientos carapintadas (1987-1990)

Entre 1987 y 1990 los llamados alzamientos carapintadas, más allá de su heterogeneidad, pusieron en jaque la democracia argentina recuperada en 1983, pero al mismo tiempo supusieron un tema de debate y de enfrentamiento al interior de un peronismo que atravesaba durante esos años una de sus crisis más graves. El objetivo de este artículo pasa, por tanto, por conocer cuáles fueron las distintas posiciones del justicialismo ante el fenómeno carapintada. Una pluralidad de puntos de vista provocada no solo por la evolución del propio movimiento carapintada a lo largo de esos tres años, sino también por las divisiones del peronismo, cuyas fronteras fueron asimismo cambiando con el tiempo. En ese sentido, el artículo explora hasta qué punto son útiles las categorías utilizadas habitualmente para definir los bandos y cuáles eran los verdaderos límites entre los llamados ortodoxos y renovadores o entre cafieristas y menemistas. Desde una escala de análisis eminentemente nacional, acudimos principalmente a fuentes hemerográficas, tanto de tirada nacional como Clarín, como diarios con perspectiva provincial, como El Litoral de Santa Fe o La Voz del Interior de Córdoba.
Between 1987 and 1990 the so-called carapintadas uprisings, beyond their heterogeneity, threatened the Argentine democracy recovered in 1983. At the same time, they were a topic of debate for a Peronism that during those years was going through one of its more serious crises. The objective of this article is, therefore, to find out what were the different positions of Justicialism in the face of the carapintada phenomenon. A plurality of points of view caused not only by the evolution of the carapintada movement throughout those three years, but also by the divisions of Peronism, whose borders also changed over time. In this sense, the article explores if the categories commonly used to define the factions are useful and what were the true limits between the so-called orthodox and renovators or between cafieristas and menemistas. From an eminently national scale of analysis, we mainly resorted to newspaper sources, with a national circulation such as Clarín, and newspapers with a provincial perspective, such as El Litoral in Santa Fe or La Voz del Interior in Córdoba.
