Después de haber fundado revistas literarias, de haber codirigido el suplemento cultural de un diario masivo y de haber participado como colaborador en publicaciones periódicas de orientaciones muy diversas, entre 1937 y 1938, Jorge Luis Borges, junto con Adolfo Bioy Casares, fundó la editorial Destiempo. El artículo propone como hipótesis que, así como vuelve sobre sus textos para reescribirlos, en el proyecto de Destiempo Borges regresa sobre lo editado para reeditarlo. El análisis versa sobre las principales características de este proyecto editorial y sobre la identificación de un conjunto de decisiones editoriales.
After founding literary journals, co-directing the cultural supplement of a large daily newspaper, and collaborating in various publications, Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares founded the editorial Destiempo in 1937. This article hypothesizes that in the same way in which Borges returned to his texts to rewrite them, in Destiempo he went back to reedit previously edited texts. This analysis deals with the main characteristics of this editorial project and identifying relevant editorial decisions.
