Este trabajo reflexiona sobre los efectos de una performance artística realizada por la organización Socorro Rosa en la provincia de Tucumán durante el Paro Internacional de Mujeres del 8 de marzo de 2017. La representación de la Virgen María abortando en la vereda de la Catedral y en el marco de una marcha de mujeres, a la vez que cumple la función de visibilizar una problemática de género, se constituye en una declaración política que pone en tensión las nociones de cuerpo, mujer y vida.
This paper analyses the repercussion of a performance carried out by the Socorro Rosa organization in the province of Tucumán during the Women’s International Strike on March 8, 2017. The representation of the Virgin Mary aborting in the sidewalk of the Cathedral and during a march of women, visualizes the gender problem and makes a political statement that redefine the concepts of body, woman and life.
