These notes discuss the topos ergo me non ruina terra potuit haurire? (Petr. 81,3) in order to make some observations about its particular formulation and possible function within the Petronian fictional conception. In this sense, it is crucial to examine the repercussions and consequences it may have on the characters, mainly on the narrator Encolpius, possible victim of the "hidden author".
Estas notas se proponen analizar el topos ergo me non ruina terra potuit haurire? (Petr. 81,3) con el objetivo de realizar una serie de observaciones acerca de su particular conformación y posible función dentro de la poética petroniana, al tiempo que se estudiarán las repercusiones y consecuencias que puede tener en los personajes, principalmente en el narrador Encolpio, posible víctima del autore nascosto.
