El vitalismo de Carl Schmitt: entre Hermann Heller y Oswald Spengler

El artículo parte de la consideración esgrimida por Hermann Heller en torno al supuesto carácter vitalista del pensamiento de Carl Schmitt y su consecuente vinculación con el de Oswald Spengler. A partir de allí se rastrean las implicancias interpretativas de tal adjetivación en vistas de pensar el fundamento schmittiano de lo político. Se sostiene que, a diferencia del supuesto belicismo destacado por Heller, lo que une a Spengler y a Schmitt es la común evocación de la comunidad mediante la figura del soldado prusiano. Sin embargo, en ese punto se encuentra una diferencia fundamental entre ambos pensadores que lleva a repensar la cuestión de la vida en la obra de Schmitt.
The article analyses what Herman Heller judges Carl Schmitt’s vitalist thought by relating it to Oswald Spengler’s. In order to go deeper on Carl Schmitt’s political thought, there can be tracked Heller’s basis on that characterization. Whereas Heller finds a belligerent character on Schmitt’s thought, the article argues that what’s in common between Spengler and Schmitt is that they both get to the community subject by bringing up the symbol of Prussian soldier. Nevertheless, there is an essential difference between the two authors which leads Schmit to rethink life topic.
