The establishment of a Group of Scientific and Technical Experts on Nuclear Disarmament Verification (GSTE-NDV) is a necessary, viable and politically relevant step in today’s international context. Building on resolution A/RES/79/240 of the United Nations General Assembly, this proposal sets out the strategic, institutional and operational foundations required to endow the GSTE-NDV with multilateral legitimacy, technical credibility and practical effectiveness.
