L-shell X-ray production cross sections induced by protons and alpha-particles in the 0.7-2.0 MeV/amu range for Ru and Ag

The X-ray emissions induced by protons and alpha-particles of the elements Ag and Ru were measured onmono-elemental thin films. L-shell X-ray production cross sections were obtained for the three L-sub-shells, considering absorption corrections. The Ag X-ray production cross sections agree with experimen-tal data of other authors and with theoretical models, and were used to endorse the quality of theexperimental values for Ru, that were not found in the literature.
