- The synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles by a modified gel-combustion method and the preparation of ZnO nanomorphologies using a combination of sol-gel and membrane template method are reported. Optimization of the synthesis parameters and characterization of the materials by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) and High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) were performed to evaluate the synthesized materials for potential application in optoelectronic devices and for gas sensors.
