En Buenos Aires, la población travesti se compone de una cantidad importante de migrantes del interior y de países fronterizos. Sus formas de creer y el uso de ciertas representaciones religiosas también hablan de pervivencias de una tradición cultural de sus orígenes tanto como de las refracciones que la religiosidad atraviesa al cambiar de medio geográfico y social. Las formas, imágenes y performances de contenido religioso en el mundo trava porteño nos permitirán conocer mejor la sensibilidad, los imaginarios y las relaciones con la representación en este grupo disidente de la heteronorma que enfrenta numerosos desafíos, enormes riesgos y produce creativos proyectos. Abordaremos un conjunto de fuentes artísticas: una novela, un poema, una película, un videoclip, una obra de teatro y una canción. Pervivencias, cambios y rupturas serán el eje de nuestro trabajo tanto como las formas en que ellas son vistas desde representaciones del arte contemporáneo.
Migrant transvestites, art and religiosity in the queer culture of Buenos Aires Abstract : In Buenos Aires, the transvestite population is made up of a significant number of migrants from the interior and border countries. His ways of believing and the use of certain religious representations also speak of the survival of a cultural tradition of its origins, as well as the refractions that religiosity goes through when changing its geographical and social situation. The practises, images and performances of religious content in the "trava" world of Buenos Aires will allow us to know better the sensitivity, the imaginary and the relations with the representation in this dissident group of the heterosexual-norm that faces numerous challenges, enormous risks and produces creative projects. We will approach a set of artistic sources: a novel, a poem, a movie, a video clip, a play and a song. Survival, changes and ruptures will be the focus of our work as well as the ways in which they are seen from representations of contemporary art.
