El trigésimo aniversario de la guerra de Malvinas entre Argentina y Gran Bretaña, el 2 de abril de 2012, impulsó el encuentro entre algunas organizaciones de ex combatientes argentinos y el vocabulario político de los derechos humanos. Entre otras iniciativas, el Archivo Oral de Memoria Abierta, una alianza de organizaciones de derechos humanos, recogió los testimonios de diez soldados y una instrumentadora que protagonizaron el conflicto bélico de 1982. Asumiendo al archivo no solo como fuente de información sino como objeto de estudio; como lugar de autoridad capaz no solo de registrar sino también de producir el acontecimiento, este artículo analiza memorias de ex-combatientes que encontraron escucha, refugio y legitimidad en la narrativa humanitaria. Elabora sobre distintos tipos de violencia: las experiencias del hambre y la desnutrición; los estaqueos y otros castigos corporales; y distintas formas de la improvisación en el campo de batalla. El artículo argumenta que no se trata de voces de víctimas pasivas o infantilizadas, sino más bien de víctimas-ciudadanos, para quienes el dar testimonio en un emprendimiento memorial de una organización humanitaria deviene una forma de agencia política.
The thirtieth anniversary of the war between Argentina and Great Britain on April 2nd 2012, motivated the encounter between some argentinean veteran organizations and the political vocabulary of human rights. Among other initiatives, the Oral Archive of Memoria Abierta, analliance of human rights organizations, collected the testimonies of ten soldiers and a surgical assistant who had participated in the 1982 war. Assuming the archive not only as a source of information but as an object of study; a locus of authority able to both register and produce events, the article analyzes the memories of war veterans who found refuge and legitimacy in the humanitarian narrative. It discusses different types of violence: the experiences of hunger and malnutrition; estaqueos and other types of physical punishment, and different types of improvisation in the battlefield. The article argues that these are not the voices of passive or infantilized victims; but rather of victim-citizens, for whom giving their testimony in a memorial initiative of a human rights organization becomes a form of political agency.
