Parasitismo por Spauligodon aff. lamothei (Nematoda: Oxyuroidea) en Homonota horrida (Squamata: Phyllodactylidae) en Neuquén, Argentina

Spauligodon aff. lamothei is described based on specimens collected from the long intestine of Homonota horrida in the province of Neuquén, Argentina. The species is assigned to Spauligodon because of the presence lateral alae in males, absent in females. In males, the caudal alae is present and starts at the level of precloacal papillae and is embedded in the adcloacal papillae. In females, the caudal alae is absent, and the vulvar opening is located in the anterior part of the body just behind the excretory pore in postbulbar position. Spauligodon aff. lamothei differs from the rest of the species assigned to Spauligodon by the position of the vulva, number of tail filament spines in males and females, geographic distribution and host type. This species is the third of the genus recorded in Argentina parasitizing lizards.
Se describe a Spauligodon aff. lamothei basado en ejemplares colectados del intestino largo de Homonota horrida en la provincia de Neuquén, Argentina. La especie se asigna a Spauligodon por la presencia de ala lateral en machos, ausente en hembras. Presencia de ala caudal en machos comenzando al nivel de papilas precloacales e incrustadas en las papilas adcloacales. En hembras carecen de alas caudales y la abertura vulvar se encuentra en la parte anterior del cuerpo justo detrás del poro excretor en posición postbulbar. Spauligodon aff. lamothei difiere del resto de las especies asignadas a Spauligodon por la posición de la vulva, número de espinas del filamento de cola en machos y hembras, distribución geográfica y tipo de hospedadores. Esta especie es la tercera del género registrada en Argentina parasitando lagartijas.
