Los más extraños de los extranjeros: Los animales

En este artículo se plantea que el animal es “más otro que cualquier otro”. En ese sentido, mientras que la ética sigue pensando en términos del “semejante”, se torna necesario un pensamiento en torno al otro “no semejante”. El animal es entonces el extranjero más extraño que cualquier otro extranjero. Si la justicia es la obligación hacia el más diferente, el totalmente otro, el no-semejante, el monstruosamente otro, es entonces la obligación hacia el animal. En tal sentido, este artículo pretende analizar ese modo de ser del animal desde la idea de cripta, y se plantea la pregunta en torno al sacrifi cio “innecesario”.
This article argues that the animal is “more other than any other”. In that sense, while ethics is still thinking in terms of “similar or fellow”, it becomes necessary thinking about the other as “non-fellow”. The animal is then most stranger than any other foreigner. If justice is the obligation to the most dissimilar, the entirely other, the non-fellow, the monstrously other, then is the obligation to the animal. In this sense, this paper intends to analyze the way of being of the animal from the idea of crypt, and raises the question about the “unnecessary” sacrifi ce.
