Descripción: This study describes the male, female and third instar larva of Fannia yunguensis sp. nov., a new species of Fanniidae that was reared from larvae captured on pig carcasses in the Yungas of the province of Jujuy, Argentina. Modifications to the keys for males and females are also provided. The presence of an epiphallus suggests including the new species into the pusio subgroup of the canicularis species group.
