The 67 types of Cydnidae, Scutelleridae and Thyreocoroidae (Heteroptera) deposited in the Scientific Department of Entomology form the Museo de La Plata were listed. These types belong tp 26 species. They were contributed by the following authors: Berg (16), Froeschner (5), Kormilev (4), McAtee & Malloch (1), and Signoret (1). The name of holotype or "typus" and paratype is given as its is indicated in the description and/or label (no new designations are made). For each taxón a complete information about original and valid  names, publication, subsequent combination, collection data and condition is given.
