Sobre el sentido y las motivaciones de la autodeterminación en la ética de Husserl

El trabajo profundiza la comprensión de Husserl de la autodeterminación y la autoconfiguración racional de la vida mediante un análisis de sus horizontes temporales, sus motivaciones y sus condiciones de posibilidad prácticas. En primer lugar, consideramos el rol de la contemplación de la vida pasada y la anticipación del futuro en la reflexión ética. Luego, nos referimos a los límites de la libertad de la voluntad, con especial énfasis en las determinaciones del campo práctico. Se trata de esclarecer el vínculo entre lo que quiero, lo que puedo en cada circunstancia y la normatividad ética que exige siempre la realización de “lo mejor”. En los tramos finales del trabajo, reflexionamos sobre el sentido del ideal de autodeterminación en el marco de una concepción ética que otorga un rol central a la teleología del desarrollo ético, la motivación valorativa de la voluntad y la realización de una tarea ética individual.
The paper aims at deepening Husserl’s understanding of self-determination and rational self-shaping of life by analyzing its temporal horizons, its motivations, and its conditions of practical possibility. First, we consider the role of the contemplation of past life and the anticipation of the future in the ethical reflection. Then, we refer to the limits of the freedom of will, emphasizing the determinations of the practical field. Our aim in this respect is to elucidate the relation between what one wants, what one can do in each circumstance, and the ethical normativity that always demands the realization of “the best”. In the final stages of the paper, we reflect on the sense of the ideal of self-determination in the context of an ethical perspective that gives a central role to the teleology of the development of ethical life, the evaluative motivation of the will, and the realization of an individual ethical task.
